Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using standardized assessments and observational strategies.
• Create customized treatment plans tailored to meet both immediate goals and long-term communicative, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Implement individualized speech therapy interventions targeting communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing difficulties.
• Work in conjunction with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to forge united care approaches.
• Provide educational support to patients and their families to enhance progress outside clinical environments.
• Handle occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions while ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the recovery process.
• Maintain comprehensive and timely documentation following guidelines set by state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Engage in ongoing education and peer collaboration to stay abreast of innovations within the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized and accredited institution.
• Fulfillment of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• A current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be achieved within 30 days of employment.
