Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree (or Associate's Degree for grandfathered personnel)
• CLS or MT (ASCP) or equivalent
• New MT Graduates must pass certification exam within 6 months of employment start date
• Strong proficiency in Epic

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Collects, processes, and receives specimens (including blood, urine, fecal, body fluid) for analysis in all departments of the clinical laboratory.
• Evaluates and resolves issues related to the collection and processing of biological specimens across all age groups.
• Participates in the evaluation of new techniques and procedures, writing and revising technical procedures as needed.
• Performs complex laboratory procedures and analyzes quality control data, making judgments to maintain accuracy and precision.
• Answers inquiries regarding test results, methodology, test specificity and sensitivity.
• Reviews instrument indicators and temperature monitors for laboratory departments.
• Maintains self-competency in laboratory skills.
