About This Role
Looking for a little extra income with the added benefit of hugs and lots of love? A Place to Grow has three locations in southern NH and we are looking for substitute teachers who can support one site or all three sites (Durham and Brentwood) on an on call basis. As a substitute, you will always work together as a team with a member of our teaching staff.
A Place to Grow is situated on 13 acres of outdoor classrooms which offer our children and teachers opportunities to explore the woods, garden, go for nature walks, and grow through experiential learning processes. High School and College candidates are welcomed back each year during holidays and breaks and have flexibility with work schedules during the school year to create a schedule that meets your needs.

What You'll DoResponsibilities will vary based on each candidate's background and may include supporting classroom teachers with daily activities, helping children with their big emotions, or even wiping tears after a child is hurt. A Place to Grow is a small school and our educators have the incredible opportunity to work with all classrooms and students across the school.
RequirementsRequirements Prior to Hire
Fingerprinting and a Background check are required (company paid for)

Training Requirements after Hiring
NH Health and Safety Training ( 9 hours online. paid)
Complete First Aid and CPR training (company paid for)
Nice To HavesSubstitute teachers can be college students, grandparents, or anyone with limited experience but willing to learn. We are happy to train the right person, regardless of previous experience.
