Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the Cardio Vascular ICU provides specialized care for patients with critical cardiovascular conditions. The nurse is responsible for monitoring, assessment, and intervention for patients using advanced cardiovascular techniques and technology.

Responsibilities:

• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and multi-system organ failure
• Management of patients with thermoregulation, CABG, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump, and Impella
• Care of post-cardiac surgery patients and pre/post-cardiac catheterization intervention
• Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring and valve replacement/repair
• Advanced IV therapy and medication administration including continuous IV sedation and titration of cardiac drips
• Care and management of ventilated patients and acute stroke management
• Ensuring infection prevention and isolation precautions

Requirements:

• 3 years of CV ICU experience Required
• Active IL license, CPR, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• Epic experience and passing EKG test
• Charge experience preferred
