Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Specialist, in the Labor and Delivery Department, will provide safe, efficient age-specific nursing care to patients and their families. The role involves delivering effective relationship-based nursing care, demonstrating technical skills to ensure safe practice, and collaborating to optimize patient outcomes in a Level 4 Labor and Delivery Recovery (LDR) unit.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: No minimum experience required; must have at least two years of Level 3 or 4 Labor and Delivery experience.
• Schedule: Night shift; 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Additional Responsibilities: Implements the nursing process; demonstrates effective communication; develops professional skills; displays leadership; performs other duties as assigned; complies with policies and standards; maintains PHI security; participates in annual training.
• Required Qualifications: Professional licensure (Drivers License/State ID), UHS Submission Packet, UHS Prior Employment Form, UHS Skills Checklist.
• Preferred Qualifications: Not specified.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
