Step into a fulfilling short-term opportunity supporting students’ development in a welcoming school environment near Quincy, MA. This contract position is tailored for a Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) ready to make a difference in a focused, manageable caseload of just 6 students spanning PreK through middle school. With supervision provided for PTAs, and only two school sites located a mile apart, you’ll be supported every step of the way.
This assignment starts as soon as possible and runs for five months, offering an excellent chance to make meaningful contributions without a long-term commitment. Working only on Mondays and Tuesdays, you’ll maintain a flexible schedule while offering specialized care and intervention that will be highly valued by students, staff, and families alike.
Qualifications:
- Active Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in Massachusetts
- Experience providing physical therapy services in a school-based or pediatric setting is preferred
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group physical therapy services to students ages PreK to middle school
- Assess, plan, and implement therapy interventions based on students’ IEPs
- Collaborate with educators, other therapists, families, and staff to maximize student participation and success
- Maintain thorough documentation of sessions and progress
- Travel between two close-by school sites
