Job Duties

Researches, evaluates and interprets incoming court orders and jail credits to determine how the documents are to be disseminated.

Minimum Qualifications

Basic knowledge of the Code of Virginia as it pertains to criminal sentencing. Ability to work independently and analyze and resolve problems with general guidance from supervision. Ability to adapt to changes in procedures, priorities and the automated system. Establish and maintain effective working relationships inside and outside the work unit. Ability to comprehend and interpret complex laws, legal documents and policies. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Working skills in operating automated equipment. Demonstrated knowledge of inmate based practices.

Additional Considerations

Experience in a field related to criminal justice, especially in criminal procedures and records processes.
