Medical Assistant PositionAt Florida Orthopaedic Institute, Medical Assistants are more than clinical support, they are essential members of the patient care team. In this full-time role, you'll work directly with a provider to deliver efficient, high-quality orthopedic care in a fast-paced clinical environment. You'll assist with exams, procedures, and patient education while ensuring each individual feels supported and cared for throughout their visit.$18.00 – $27.00 per hour Compensation is based on experience, certification level, and relevant orthopedic or high-volume clinical background.Key Responsibilities:Clinical SupportPrepare exam rooms and ensure they are fully stocked and organized for the dayEscort patients to rooms, take vital signs, and update EMR with accurate documentationAssist with in-office procedures including injections, dressing changes, and suture removalsSupport provider during exams by anticipating needs and maintaining patient comfortEducate patients on post-visit instructions and coordinate follow-ups as directedPatient Flow & TeamworkCollaborate with fellow CAs, providers, and administrative staff to keep the clinic running smoothlyCommunicate clearly with patients and teammates to reduce delays and confusionFloat to nearby clinics as needed to support staffing coverage and team successCompliance & DocumentationEnsure timely, accurate charting and quality measure completion in Athena EMRMaintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standardsParticipate in training, team huddles, and clinic initiatives as assignedWhat Makes You a Great Fit:You thrive in high-volume clinics and know how to multitask under pressureYou're a dependable team player who takes initiative and shows up with a great attitudeYou build trust with patients through empathy, professionalism, and clear communicationYou're organized, tech-savvy, and committed to accurate documentationYou value flexibility and are open to assisting other providers or clinics when neededRequirements:High school diploma or equivalent (required)Medical Assistant diploma or certification (required)BLS certification (required within 90 days of hire and FOI offers in-house training)Reliable transportation and flexibility to travel locally for training/coverageStrong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skillsPreferred Qualifications:Experience in orthopedics, trauma, or high-volume clinical settingsFamiliarity with Athena EMR or similar systemsPrior experience assisting with procedures such as injections or suture removalWhy Join FOI?A stable, full-time role in a respected clinical settingClear career paths and internal growth opportunitiesA collaborative team environment and meaningful patient connectionsNo check-in/check-out duties (clinical role focused)Onboarding at our North Tampa clinic followed by on-site training at your assigned locationOrthopaedic Solutions Management is a Drug Free WorkplaceWe are committed to maintaining a safe, healthy, and productive work environment.
