Our organization is seeking dedicated Physician Assistants to become part of our full-time team at the Rancho Mirage clinic. You will provide thorough, patient-focused care as a member of a transdisciplinary team, enhancing the health and wellness of patients through innovative and tailored medical solutions within our Unitized Transdisciplinary Care (UTC) program.

Work Schedule: 4/10's; our clinics operate seven days a week from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Availability to work on Saturdays and/or Sundays may be necessary.

Position Overview:

• Assess and manage chronic pain conditions as part of comprehensive care plans, incorporating both pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies.

• Work alongside pain management specialists and complementary providers (such as chiropractors and acupuncturists) to create personalized multimodal pain treatment strategies.

• Conduct interventional pain procedures as trained and credentialed, including joint injections, trigger point injections, and other minimally invasive techniques.

• Educate patients on safe pain management practices, including opioid stewardship, alternative therapies, and self-management strategies.

• Evaluate treatment effectiveness and modify care plans to enhance function, quality of life, and long-term health outcomes.

• Provide care through a holistic, interdisciplinary approach in collaboration with medical doctors, chiropractors, acupuncturists, behavioral health providers, dietitians, and other health partners within our unique care model.

• Engage in a multidisciplinary team to develop, implement, monitor, and adjust comprehensive care plans that include shared goals with measurable outcomes.

• Assess and document patient health through interviews, examinations, observations, and review of medical histories.

• Diagnose health conditions, order and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic studies in accordance with established protocols.

• Document all patient interactions and sign medical records within 72 hours, adhering to industry standards and guidelines.

• Create treatment plans that address dysfunction and disease while minimizing the risk of further injury.

• Prescribe and dispense medications as authorized in accordance with state licensure and staff privileges.

• Utilize evidence-based methods for shared decision-making that respect patient preferences and social norms while aiming for optimal treatment outcomes.

Qualifications of Our Ideal Candidate:

• Active Physician Assistant license in California.

• Current Board Certification as a Physician Assistant is required.

• Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain DEA registration.

• Preferred: At least one year of relevant experience as a PA, though not mandatory.

• Preferred: Experience in pain management or a strong interest in developing expertise in this field.

• Comfortable managing patients with chronic pain using a multimodal, evidence-based approach.
