JUKI Industrial Stitch Technician

Location: Skokie, IL

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM, with overtime as needed (typically extending to 4:00–4:30 PM)

A day in this role

At 6:30 AM, you power up your JUKI industrial sewing machine and review the day’s orders: garments, protective apparel, and other textile products. You match patterns to measurements, thread for the material at hand, and begin precise assembly and alterations. Throughout the day you inspect output against company quality standards, flag any defects in materials or stitching, and keep your workstation orderly and safe. You’ll balance independent focus with team production goals, hitting daily targets while supporting others when needed. On high-demand days, you’ll stay a bit longer to ensure orders are completed—usually until 4:00–4:30 PM.

What you’ll do

• Operate a JUKI industrial sewing machine safely, efficiently, and consistently.
• Sew, assemble, alter, and repair garments, protective apparel, and other textile products to specification.
• Interpret work instructions, patterns, measurements, and production requirements accurately.
• Conduct in-process and final inspections to verify adherence to quality standards.
• Identify and report defects, sewing issues, or equipment problems promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation.
• Meet daily production and quality goals while contributing to team output.
• Perform overtime as needed to meet production demand.

What you’ll bring

• Background as a Seamstress, Sewing Machine Operator, or Industrial Sewer (preferred).
• Hands-on experience with JUKI sewing machines (preferred).
• Exceptional attention to detail and consistent, high-quality workmanship.
• Strong hand–eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to follow instructions, measurements, and specifications precisely.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Reliability, strong attendance, and a solid work ethic.
