About the Role

FDI is looking for an Event Manager to oversee trade shows and events, assume full ownership of email marketing, and support internal marketing efforts.

This is a fully remote position when not traveling. Extensive travel (paid for by FDI) is a core requirement, with attendance required at trade shows and events throughout the United States, primarily in the Midwest and agricultural regions.

With approximately 125 trade shows and events planned for 2027 , this is a substantial, hands-on role. You will manage event logistics from identification, scheduling and preparation through setup, attendance, teardown, and lead entry.

Between events, you will work remotely as an internal marketing resource, managing email campaigns and coordinating leadership-approved company events and culture-building activities.

Key Responsibilities

Trade Shows and Event Management

? Manage the company's trade show and event calendar, including sourcing, scheduling, registrations, deadlines, and participation requirements;

? Coordinate booth reservations, travel, lodging, shipping, and event logistics;

? Prepare, transport, set up, and tear down booths, displays, signage, and promotional materials;

? Travel to and attend trade shows and events nationwide, primarily in the Midwest;

? Represent FDI professionally, engage prospective customers, and support sales conversations;

? Maintain event inventory, equipment, and supplies to ensure readiness for upcoming events; and

? Track event expenses, lead volume, and results to improve future participation.

Purchasing and Expense Management

? Purchase approved event supplies, promotional items, printed materials, and other marketing resources using a company-issued card;

? Coordinate vendor pricing, orders, production schedules, and deliveries;

? Manage purchases within approved budgets and follow company purchasing policies; and

? Maintain receipts, reconcile transactions, and submit timely expense documentation.

Lead Collection and Management

? Collect complete and accurate prospect information at events;

? Enter leads promptly into the company's CRM or designated system;

? Document prospect interests, relevant conversations, and follow-up needs; and

? Coordinate with sales to ensure leads are assigned and ready for timely follow-up.

Email Marketing Ownership

? Own email marketing campaigns from planning and content creation through deployment, reporting, and improvement;

? Maintain an email marketing calendar aligned with company priorities and the event schedule;

? Create pre-event outreach, event invitations, post-event follow-up, newsletters, and other approved campaigns;

? Manage contact lists, audience segmentation, and automated email workflows;

? Monitor campaign performance and use results to improve engagement and lead generation; and

? Maintain accurate contact records and follow company requirements for consent, unsubscribes, and brand standards.

Internal Marketing and Company Culture

? Serve as the company's primary internal marketing resource outside of trade shows and events;

? Plan and coordinate company-wide events, employee recognition initiatives, and culture-building activities approved by leadership;

? Support internal communications and the development of marketing materials;

? Coordinate related vendors, purchases, schedules, and logistics; and

? Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

? Experience in event marketing, trade show coordination, marketing operations, or a related role;

? Experience independently managing email marketing campaigns;

? Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage overlapping deadlines and a demanding travel schedule;

? Strong written communication and interpersonal skills;

? Confidence engaging prospective customers and representing the company at events;

? Familiarity with CRM systems, email marketing platforms, and standard business software;

? Ability to manage purchases, track expenses, and work within approved budgets;

? Ability to work independently and remain responsive, accountable, and organized in a remote environment; and

? Agriculture industry experience or familiarity with agricultural audiences preferred. xhyhwjd

Work Location, Travel, and Schedule

? Fully remote when not traveling; this is not a home-based-only role;

? Extensive nationwide travel is required, with most events expected to take place in the Midwest;

? Attendance is required at assigned trade shows, events, and company gatherings;

? Availability for overnight and multi-day travel, early mornings, evenings, and weekends is required based on event schedules;

? Responsibility for remote marketing work continues between events and requires effective planning around travel; and

? Ability to transport, set up, and move event materials and remain on your feet during

events, with reasonable accommodation as applicable.
