Location: Columbus, OH
Schedule: Wednesday–Sunday, 5:00 PM–1:00 AM; schedule may vary based on the theater season
Salary Range: $40,000–$45,000 annually, depending on experience

As a Cleaning Supervisor at the Vern Riffe Center, you’ll lead daily cleaning operations, support your team, and ensure high-quality standards are consistently met. Here’s how you’ll make an impact:

• Lead and motivate your team by providing direction, support, and encouragement to cleaning staff.

• Set the standard for quality by monitoring cleaning areas, completing quality assurance reviews, and ensuring contract standards are consistently met.

• Keep operations running smoothly by creating monthly staffing schedules and assigning daily cleaning responsibilities based on customer needs and contract requirements.

• Train for success by teaching staff proper cleaning procedures, chemical handling, equipment use, and workplace safety practices.

• Maintain a safe environment by ensuring cleaning procedures and workplace practices follow applicable safety requirements, laws, and regulations.

• Stay prepared and organized by monitoring cleaning supply inventory and submitting requests to ensure your team has the materials needed to do their jobs effectively.

• Be a hands-on leader by providing cleaning coverage and completing cleaning tasks when needed to meet contract obligations.

• Communicate effectively by working closely with the Contract Site Supervisor to address cleaning concerns, staffing needs, and building-related issues.

• Support team accountability by monitoring attendance, performance, and adherence to ARC Voyagers policies and procedures.

• Represent ARC Voyagers with professionalism by providing courteous and respectful service to employees, clients, and visitors.

• Make a difference through your leadership by creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment while supporting a team that takes pride in the work they do.

What Makes You a Great Fit:

• 21+ with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid State of Ohio driver's license and ability to meet ARC Voyagers' insurability standards.
• At least one year of experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services.
• Knowledge of commercial cleaning methods, equipment, chemicals, and safety procedures.
• Ability to follow established cleaning procedures and maintain consistent quality standards.
• Ability to communicate effectively with individuals with varying levels of experience and skill.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to lift, bend, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.

Preferred:

• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Industry-recognized cleaning certification, such as an ISSA Certified Cleaning Technician (CCT).

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This position is primarily performed in an office/theater building environment and may involve exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, odors, wet floors, moderate noise, and varying temperatures.

The position requires the ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle tools and equipment, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, talk, and hear. The employee must be able to lift, bend, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.

Requirements:

• Must submit to BCII/FBI background checks and Nurse Aide & Abuser Registry checks.
• Valid State of Ohio driver's license and ability to meet ARC Voyagers' insurability standards.
• Reliable transportation.
• Physical exam may be required based on job assignment.
