As a Data Analyst Senior, you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter.As a Data Analyst Senior, you will support customers within GDIT to fulfill multiple federal agency missions. The Tableau dashboards provide program management and financial dashboards to customers allowing them to manage risk and provide the essential reporting to their government customers. This position requires 3 days of work per week at our office.HOW A DATA ANALYST SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:Conduct market research and define industry best practices for decision-makingCreating, refining, and delivering reports, dashboards, and database solutions for internal or external purposesMentor a small team of Data Analysts in support of development initiativesUtilize Power BI, Power Apps, excel, and/or other business intelligence toolsProvide data analytics and key insightsHighlight and define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure performance across different sectionsCollaborate with a team of developers, analysts, and engineers to determine feature requests, priorities, dashboards, and solutions.Writing user stories, acceptance criteria, test plans, and retrospectives to improve Agile development processes.Performing Quality Assurance (QA) testing of new features to ensure that requirements are met, and the resulting user experience works as intended.Participating in and supporting user acceptance testing and the deployment of the solution to production.Preparing and conducting presentations and training materials.Creating and maintaining documentation.Collaborate with a team of developers, analysts, and engineers to deliver on-time Agile sprint releases.WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED: Education: BA/BS (or equivalent years of experience) Required Experience: 5+ years of experience Security Clearance Level: Must possess and maintain an active Secret clearance US Citizenship Required Required Skills and Abilities:Strong experience leveraging Structured Query Language (SQL), specifically developing tables, views, and stored proceduresStrong experience developing dashboards using Power BI or equivalent business intelligence tools to create professional contentExperience leveraging Databricks or similar toolsetsExperience with PythonExperience with leading/managing and mentoring a small team of Data Analysts in support of development initiativesStrong Excel background; familiarity with other Microsoft tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities at any given time.Good team player, able to manage multiple assignments, and adapt to changing client needs.Outstanding communication skills with the ability to present to business leaders.Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and part of a teamKnowledge of Agile methodologyFamiliarity with Azure DevOps or similar tool(s)Strong project management skills, ability to work towards a deadline and lead a small team of analysts
