A Production Technician II is a specialized role responsible for complex mechanical and electrical manufacturing of medium and heavy lift small uncrewed aircraft systems (sUAS or drones).This position is at the core of the manufacturing team at Inspired Flight and will be part of a rapidly growing company in the growing UAV industry. Lots of upward mobility available for this role!Typical responsibilities:Soldering PCBs to IPC standards and Inspired Flight quality standardsTesting of electrical equipmentMechanical assembly of aircraft componentsPayload assembly and testingWire harness assemblyAssist in developmental assembly and prototyping of production partsAssist Engineering in setting up and running testsYou'll excel in this role if you have:Work well in a collaborative environmentAren't shy about proposing creative ideas on how to improve productAre a self-starter and enjoy taking on new challenges requiring creative solutionsTechnician I1-2 years of manufacturing experience, or relevant professional experienceFamiliarity with basic hand tools, such as screwdrivers and wire cuttersExperience with mechanical assembly of parts, at home or workTechnician II2-5 years of manufacturing experience, or relevant professional experienceWell versed with hand tools and powered tools, such as wire crimpers, soldering irons, electric torque driversExperience in specialty mechanical and/or electrical assembly, including wire harnesses and electronic assemblyTechnician III5+ years of manufacturing experience, or relevant professional experienceAdvanced skills with tools and processes, such as PCB-level soldering, QC inspection, sensors and calibration, fine part assemblyDemonstrated aptitude in wide range of technology manufacturing, aerospace preferredEducation/Experience Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalentAt least two years of manufacturing or assembly work experienceExperience preferably in the following industries: aviation, aerospace, defense sectorBenefitsPaid Time OffHealth, Dental, Vision Insurance Plan401k w/ company matchQuarterly Team Bonus PlanPay Bands:Production Technician I: $22-$25Production Technician II: $24-$28Production Technician III: $26-$34Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
