Job Details Location: Austin, TX 78753 Type: Full Time Education Level: 4 Year Degree Travel Percentage: None Shift: Day Category: Accounting Primary Responsibilities Sales order approval and invoice generation and cash application; approve sales orders for release, process daily invoicing of shipped orders, and apply payments from credit cards. Ensure all customer‑required invoice sites are updated timely. Accounts payable approval and payment and process vendor payments (ACH, checks & wire transfers). Complete monthly journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations as part of the routine monthly closing cycle on time. Review and audit routine financial transactions (AR & AP) and drive streamlining of accounting functions and operations. Payroll processing – review and update time and attendance data for hourly personnel, update PTO and any additional non‑payroll entries for all employees, process payroll. Banking transactions and month‑end entries; reconcile credit card accounts, reconcile bank accounts, and check and review bank balances daily. Complete monthly financial reporting package, drive continuous improvement ideas that will yield improved financial impact across all functions. Advise CFO and CEO of financial shortfalls to budgets and forecasts, as well as any control issues that arise. Provide financial training across functions to raise the financial IQ of company managers. Develop and maintain a positive relationship with all team members and colleagues across the company. The goal is to be a pleasant and likable person others enjoy being around and obtain an 80% overall satisfactory rating from direct reports. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; preferred CPA certification. Experience: 5+ years Accounting, payroll and cost experience; preferred 7+ years Accounting and 1+ years payroll. Skills: MS Office including Excel and Outlook; preferred 1-2 years NetSuite and Namely payroll. Physical Requirements Stand, sit, talk, hear and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard reach. Close vision requirements due to computer work. Light to moderate lifting. Moderate noise (business office with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic). Ability to work in a confined area and sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
