You'll lead with purpose, breaking down barriers to innovation for a more connected, compassionate world.About The RoleAs a Printed Circuit Board Design at MiniMed, you won't just be routing traces; you will partner closely with our Electrical, RF, and Antenna engineers from concept to production, providing layout expertise to deliver hardware known for its reliability, scalability, and cost.This role is responsible for executing PCB designs that meet electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing requirements with a high degree of accuracy and completeness. You will work closely with Electrical engineers through iterative design cycles.Responsibilities:Detail oriented PCB Designer with experience in schematic capture, high density multilayer PCB layout, with flex and rigid flex circuit assemblies, RF and high-speed signal routing, impedance control, length matching and crosstalk mitigationWorks with high-speed electronics, multi MCU systems for low power wearable devices, and class 3 medical productsComponent Library: Creates component footprints, models and manages component librariesPlaces components, routes signals, generates Gerber and ODB++ files preferably using Altium. Determines optimum layer stackup for PCB designExperience with Altium Designer Schematic Capture or similar (Orcad), Altium A365 and PCB Layout ToolsKnowledge of industry standards such as IPC for board design.Collaborates with internal cross functional and external PCB manufacturing houses with DFM activities to resolve technical queries (EQs)Works with CAD models to perform 3D clearance checks against Mechanical enclosuresSkilled in optimizing designs for manufacturability, cost, and performanceManufacturing: Generates Gerber, documents design and creates Fabrication and Assembly drawings. PR) locations (USD):$68,000.00 - $116,000.00For roles located in California, Seattle WA, Washington DC, Boston MA, and New York City, the salary range is $ 76,000 - $128,000 USD.Actual compensation may vary based on factors including experience, education, certifications, skills, market conditions, internal equity, and geographic location.
