Every person here has a voice, ships meaningful work, and helps shape how AI can make the world safer and more connected.Responsibilities:Own board design end to end: architecture, component selection, schematic capture, PCB layout, and design reviews for edge-inferencing cameras, intercoms, door readers, and access control hardwareEvaluate embedded chipsets, work from vendor reference designs and EVKs, and adapt them into production designs that meet our cost, power, and form-factor targetsOwn board bring-up and validation: power sequencing, signal integrity, sensor and peripheral bring-up, functional test development, and EMC/regulatory pre-complianceOwn the embedded platform on your boards: BSP, bootloader, device trees, drivers, and the base image, so the hardware you design boots, streams, and updates in the fieldDesign for the environments our products live in: PoE power budgets, surge and ESD protection, audio paths for intercoms, reader and controller interfaces (OSDP, Wiegand, RS-485), and thermal behavior inside sealed enclosuresOwn the full product lifecycle from prototype through EVT/DVT/PVT, vendor handoff, and field deploymentManage vendor and supplier relationships to ensure on-time, high-quality deliveryBe a proactive self-starter: take initiative, act with urgency, and bring a scrappy, hands-on approach to problem solving in fast-moving environmentsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field5+ years of experience in hardware product development with at least one product shipped at volumeStrong schematic capture and PCB layout proficiency (Altium or equivalent), including high-speed digital design: DDR/LPDDR, MIPI CSI-2, USB, Ethernet, and PoEHands-on lab and bring-up skills: you're at home with a scope, logic analyzer, and a board that won't bootWorking embedded software competence: C, embedded Linux (Yocto or Buildroot), U-Boot, device trees, and enough driver fluency to debug across the hardware/software boundaryProven DFM experience and a track record of working with contract manufacturers through NPIResilient in challenging and fast-paced environmentsExceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to influence at all levelsAbility to work in an onsite environment - we move quicker when we're in the same roomWhat We Offer:Competitive compensation package (base salary + variable compensation)100% Employer-paid medical, dental, vision, and base life insuranceFlexible paid time off and 9 paid holidays401(k) with both Traditional and Roth optionsEquity in a rapidly growing companyReferral bonusesDaily team dinners and regular team off-sites to build connection and momentumThe latest Apple tech and unlimited tools so you can winWe're on a mission to transform a $50B+ legacy industry by bringing the power of cutting-edge multimodal LLMs and computer vision to real-world security and operations.
