REPORTS TO: Elementary School Administration
PAY TYPE: Hourly, Non-Exempt, Classified, Non-Supervisory
PAY RATE: Starting at $13 / hr.
BENEFITS: Not eligible for benefits
SCHEDULE: Part-time; 2.25 hrs. / day; Up to 178 days / year; Follows school calendar

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assists in the supervision of students during lunch periods and recess (indoor/outdoor)
• Monitors student behavior to ensure safety and adherence to school rules
• Enforces safety protocols and procedures at all times
• Other duties as assigned

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

• Education, Training, and Experience Required:
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required
  • Prior experience in schools or child care
• Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Worker Characteristics:
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work as a part of a team
  • Excellent dependability and punctuality
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Works indoors in a cafeteria setting and outdoors in various weather conditions
• May work in close proximity to students and staff
• Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time
• Frequently exposed to noise levels typical in school and playground settings
