Respiratory Therapist | Rochester, Illinois

Key Qualifications:

• Active certification as a Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist
• Current licensure as required by state regulations
• Experience in acute care or hospital settings preferred
• Proficiency in administering respiratory therapies, including aerosol, oxygen, and chest physiotherapy
• Ability to perform arterial blood gas analysis and interpret results
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Assess, treat, and monitor patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders
• Implement care plans in collaboration with physicians and nurses
• Operate and maintain ventilators and other advanced respiratory support equipment
• Educate patients and families on disease management and at-home care strategies
• Respond promptly to emergency situations, delivering critical respiratory support
• Maintain detailed, accurate patient records and document interventions
