School Psychologist – Bayou Gulch Campus (26/27 SY) Full‑time position at Leman Academy of Excellence, Parker. Job Description The primary role is to work with scholars, parents, and teachers to help Leman scholars achieve academic and behavioral success. You will serve scholars across all grade levels who require universal, targeted, and intensive intervention across special education and general education populations. Your work will help scholars succeed academically, socially, behaviorally, and emotionally, and you will demonstrate understanding and empathy necessary for working with scholars, their families, and community resources. Responsibilities Attend mental‑health IEP meetings for scholars in grades K‑8. Provide teachers with consultation on scholar academic and behavior concerns. Serve as Scholar Study Team (SST) Shepherd. Write and implement behavior plans for scholars. Identify scholars’ pro‑social needs and plan and lead intervention groups. Provide grief support and assist with crisis prevention and intervention. Train and equip teachers with bullying‑prevention curriculum and behavior plans. Work with parents to facilitate support for their scholar’s school adjustment and to alleviate family stress. Participate on the Bullying and Safety Committee or Data and UIP Committee. Act as the point person for climate and culture surveys conducted by the school. Conduct informal assessments to support scholars in both the general education population and in the Exceptional Scholars Program. Conduct suicide, self‑harm, and threat assessments following current DCSD trainings. Effectively implement crisis prevention, intervention, response and recovery efforts. Partner with all stakeholders to alleviate barriers to learning and engage scholars as individuals with unique interests and strengths. Provide wrap‑around resources for families when needs surpass the scope of what the school can provide. Attend data team meetings, IEP meetings, and School Psychologist meetings. Share duties and coverage with the Social Worker and ESS team members. Assist in developing and implementing educational programs for scholars with exceptional needs. Develop alternative programs for at‑risk scholars. Identify and report child abuse and neglect. Provide case management for scholars and families requiring multiple resources. Integrate assessment data into concise, organized, and educationally relevant evaluations. Qualifications Master’s Degree in School Psychology or a related field. Colorado certification as a School Psychologist. CBI/FBI fingerprint clearance and background and criminal history clearance. Knowledgeable in cognitive, behavioral, and academic testing and related practices. Working knowledge of the principles, practices, and ethical standards of school psychology, state and federal laws, rules, regulations, and applicable district policies. First Aid and CPR certification. Strong communication, organizational, and time‑management skills. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders.
