Senior Tax Accountant

Senior Tax Accountant Location: Addison, TX (On-site for the first 6 months, with the opportunity to transition to a hybrid schedule) Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join our growing team. In this role, you will manage tax planning, preparation, compliance, and consulting services for a diverse client base, including businesses, individuals, trusts, and estates. The ideal candidate will have strong technical tax knowledge, excellent client relationship skills, and the ability to mentor junior staff while managing multiple engagements. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for businesses, individuals, trusts, and estates. Provide tax planning and consulting services to clients. Ensure compliance with current tax laws, regulations, and filing deadlines. Research complex tax issues and provide practical recommendations. Build and maintain strong client relationships by serving as a trusted advisor. Manage multiple client engagements and ensure timely project completion. Review work prepared by junior staff and provide coaching and technical guidance. Collaborate with internal teams to deliver high-quality client service. Identify tax-saving opportunities and strategies for clients. Assist with business development efforts and contribute to firm growth. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3-5 years of public accounting experience with tax preparation, review, and consulting. Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations. Experience preparing and reviewing business and individual tax returns. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Ability to independently manage client relationships and engagements. Preferred Qualifications CPA or EA certification preferred. Experience with Lacerte, SurePrep, Karbon, and QuickBooks (Online and Desktop). Experience with pass-through entities, particularly S Corporations. Experience with estate, gift, and trust taxation, including high-net-worth individuals and family offices. Previous business development or client relationship management experience.
