Junior Water/Wastewater Engineer

NV5 is seeking a passionate Junior Engineer for our California Water/Wastewater Practice, which focuses on the planning and design of water, wastewater, and recycled water infrastructure. Responsibilities Work within a team of highly experienced and creative engineers to problem solve, analyze, and evaluate projects from planning through construction. Assist with the planning and design of challenging drinking water, wastewater, and recycled water infrastructure, including: Assist project engineers with other project tasks, such as: Coordinate with other disciplines for project development, including geotechnical engineering, land surveying, electrical engineering, and structural engineering. Occasional field visits and inspections to assess infrastructure deficiencies, project progress, and problem solve issues. Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Civil or Mechanical Engineering with emphasis or concentration in water/wastewater Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel Basic understanding or familiarity with AutoCAD Understanding of hydraulics and pipe networks Passionate about water/wastewater Participation in professional societies (e.g. American Society of Civil Engineers, Water for People, Engineers Without Borders, etc.) Certifications/Licenses Possession of Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate Desire to obtain a Professional Engineer license The pay range for this California position is $28.85 - $35.00 per hour. Base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
