Order Picker Forklift Operator Job Description

Responsible for safely operating reach trucks and order picker forklifts to move, retrieve, and organize inventory in a warehouse or distribution center. This role involves handling materials, fulfilling orders, and ensuring efficient storage and transportation of goods while following safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

Operate both reach trucks and order picker forklifts to transport and retrieve products.
Load, unload, and stack materials efficiently within warehouse racking systems.
Pick and prepare customer orders accurately using an order picker forklift.
Perform inventory checks and cycle counting as needed.
Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections of forklifts to ensure proper functioning.
Adhere to all warehouse safety protocols and procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Assist with general warehouse tasks as required.

Requirements:

Experience operating both reach trucks and order picker forklifts.
Valid forklift certification (preferred but not required).
Ability to work at heights and handle heavy loads.
Strong attention to safety, accuracy, and efficiency.
Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
