SERVICE TECHNICIAN Job Description
Reports to Service Manager/AGM/DSP
The Service Technician’s role consists of 3 main functions: Enhancing Our Team, Serving Our Customer and Achieving Financial Goals . Each of these functions require different skills and time spent in each area but are equally important parts of being on the Bortnick Team.
Enhancing Our Team
- Maintains a clean, orderly and safe work area.
- Works efficiently and effectively by asking for an assignment if the current job is temporarily unable to be completed or has been completed.
- Perpetuates their education and training on the product lines as changes occur.
- Performs other related duties, as assigned.
Serving Our Customers
- Performs repair and maintenance work on equipment in accordance with time schedules as assigned by the Service Manager/AGM/DSP.
- Maintains cleanliness of the customer’s equipment with a goal of exceeding customer expectations.
- Recommends to the Service Manager/AGM/DSP any additional repair or maintenance work when needed.
- Notifies the Service Manager/AGM/DSP if delays are expected, additional work is required or parts are needed.
Achieving Financial Goals
- Accounts for all time and material used.
- Meets performance goals set by the Service Manager/AGM/DSP.
