Registered Nurse - Day Shift - Iowa

This is a 13-week contract position.

7 AM to 7 PM

The Registered Nurse collaborates with the health care team using evidence-based practices to ensure safe and optimal patient outcomes. The role involves effective communication with both the interdisciplinary team and families, promoting continuity of care. Nurses will also direct the work of support staff and perform general nursing duties with critical thinking skills and minimal supervision across age-specific populations, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.

• Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement evidence-based practices.
• Direct the work of support staff in patient care provision.
• Conduct assessments across various age groups.
• Communicate effectively to promote continuity of care.
• Utilize critical thinking skills in performing nursing duties.

• Graduate of an accredited RN program; BSN preferred.
• Current Registration and Licensure in the State of Iowa as an RN in good standing.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Code BLS required; certification to be obtained within three months of hire.
• Current ACLS certification to be obtained per education course requirements policy.
• Nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Basic computer knowledge and a high degree of empathetic listening skills.
