Job Title: Design Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Design Engineer with expertise in Siemens NX to support the design and development of orthopedic extremity products. This role involves creating detailed 3D models, assemblies, and drawings for implants and instruments, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify 3D CAD models and drawings in NX for extremity implants and associated instruments.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, manufacturing, quality, regulatory) to ensure design feasibility and compliance.

• Perform tolerance analysis and apply GD&T principles to ensure manufacturability.

• Support design reviews, risk assessments, and verification processes per ISO and FDA design control requirements.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Siemens NX for modeling and experience in orthopedic extremities or similar medical device design.

• Knowledge of materials (metals, polymers) and manufacturing processes (CNC machining, additive manufacturing).

• Familiarity with regulatory standards (FDA, ISO).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with PLM systems (Teamcenter).

• Understanding of biomechanics and anatomical considerations for extremity implants.

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Work Environment

This is a 12-month project based onsite in Warsaw, Indiana

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Warsaw, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
