Crane Operator

Job Title: Crane Operator

Location: Greensburg, PA

Rate: $21.00-$27.50/hr + Overtime

Responsibilities:
- Operate and control the movement of cranes to lift, position, and place materials and equipment

- Operate electric overhead traveling crane

-Transport ingots to cooling pits or furnaces
- Perform pre-operational checks and inspections on the crane to ensure it is in safe working condition
- Safely rig loads and attach them to the crane using appropriate lifting devices
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols while operating the crane
- Communicate with ground crew and other personnel to ensure safe and efficient operations
- Maintain accurate records of crane operations, including daily logs and inspection reports

Qualifications:
- Valid crane operator certification/license
- Proven experience operating cranes in a variety of settings
- Strong knowledge of rigging techniques and safe lifting practices
- Ability to read and interpret load charts and blueprints
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and depth perception
- Strong attention to detail and focus on safety
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
