Crop Insurance Agent

Primary Duties Cultivate and Expand: Nurture existing crop accounts and explore new opportunities through direct engagement with farmers. Innovate and Connect: Establish and develop new crop accounts, fostering lasting relationships within the agricultural community. Claim Support: Collaborate with adjusters and manage claims efficiently, ensuring seamless service for our clients. Off-Season Growth: Continue to maintain and expand farm accounts even during the off-season for crop insurance. Mentorship: Assist less experienced agents in mastering the art of selling farm and crop insurance. Educational Leadership: Support the Farm & Crop Specialist by organizing and conducting informative classes and seminars. Additional Responsibilities Conduct annual reviews of Farm Bureau members’ crop insurance accounts to ensure optimal coverage. Engage in diverse tasks as assigned, contributing to the vibrant team environment. Educational/Experience Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; farming/agricultural experience is a bonus. Skill Set Motivation & Initiative: A self-starter with a positive attitude and strong negotiation skills. Professionalism: Uphold high ethical and moral standards. Independence & Teamwork: Thrive working independently and collaboratively. Problem Solving & Communication: Demonstrate effective problem-solving skills and excellent oral and written communication. Dependability: Reliable and consistent in task completion. Tech Savvy: Competency with basic computer and word processing skills. Agricultural Insight: In-depth knowledge of grain farming practices.
