Position Overview


We are seeking a compassionate and dependable RN, or Psychiatric Technician to join a behavioral health team in Santa Paula, CA.


This is a great opportunity for a healthcare professional who is comfortable working with patients in a behavioral health setting. Experience in behavioral health, mental health, or substance use disorder (SUD) services is preferred but not required.


The ideal candidate will be comfortable administering injections, supporting psychiatric appointments, communicating with treatment teams, and providing compassionate patient care.


Responsibilities

• Obtain and document patient vital signs.
• Prepare patients for psychiatric appointments and provide follow-up support.
• Administer long-acting injectable medications, including Invega and Vivitrol , as appropriate to licensure and training.
• Support medication management and process refill requests.
• Provide support to psychiatrists, clinicians, and other members of the treatment team.
• Assist with patient care coordination and follow-up.
• Monitor and communicate patient needs to the appropriate clinical team members.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals receiving behavioral health and SUD services.

Qualifications


Required

• Valid, active California RN or Psychiatric Technician license/certification .
• Comfortable working in a behavioral health environment.
• Comfortable administering injections.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work onsite Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM.

Preferred

• Bilingual Spanish strongly preferred.
• Previous experience in behavioral health or mental health.
• Experience working with patients receiving substance use disorder (SUD) or Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) services.
• Experience administering long-acting injectable medications.

Behavioral health experience is preferred but not required. Candidates who are comfortable working with behavioral health populations and eager to learn are encouraged to apply.

Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-5:00 PM


Occasional coverage in Fillmore, CA may be required based on clinic needs.
