Employee Benefits Account Manager

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Employee Benefits Account Manager to serve as a primary point of contact for clients, offering strategic support in managing employee benefits programs. The role requires a passion for relationship management, expertise in employee benefits, and the ability to deliver tailored solutions to meet the needs of a diverse client base.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary account manager for assigned client accounts, understanding business needs and delivering comprehensive employee benefit strategies.


• Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships by providing exceptional customer service and support.


• Consult with clients to assess employee benefits needs, recommend solutions, and assist with program implementation.


• Serve as a liaison between clients, insurance carriers, and internal teams to ensure seamless communication and resolution of inquiries.


• Prepare and present proposals, policy renewals, and enrollment materials with attention to accuracy and timeliness.


• Stay informed on trends, marketplace changes, and regulatory requirements related to employee benefits to provide clients with expert guidance.


• Conduct open enrollment meetings and provide training for employees on available benefit options.


• Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance client satisfaction, and contribute to team success.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align organizational goals and ensure consistent service delivery to clients.


• Manage account renewals, provide claims support, and oversee benefit plan administration throughout the lifecycle of each client partnership.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Education & Experience:
  
  
  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
  
  
  • Proven experience as an account manager or equivalent role in the employee benefits or insurance industry.
  
  


• Skills:
  
  
  
  • Strong knowledge of employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and retirement plans.
  
  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and concisely.
  
  
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple accounts and deadlines simultaneously.
  
  
  • Attention to detail and commitment to providing quality service and solutions.
  
  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRM systems.
  
  
  • Problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities to effectively address client concerns.
  
  


• Certifications/Licenses:
  
  
  
  • Life and Health Insurance License strongly preferred or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe.
  
  
  • CEBS (Certified Employee Benefits Specialist) designation is a plus.
