Local CDL Driver

Olympic Disposal, a Waste Connections Company, is looking for a reliable and motivated Class B Driver to join our team in Sequim, WA. Previous waste industry experience is a big plus-but not required. We're happy to train the right person! The schedule is Monday-Friday and occasional Saturdays as needed, around 45 hours per week. The starting pay $28/hr with annual pay increases and bonus opportunities. Duties and Responsibilities: * Safely operate a garbage truck on designated routes to collect solid waste. Waste experience is preferred but not required. * Read route sheets and service each customer listed or assigned by the dispatcher. * Perform routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles, including checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires. * Perform a physically demanding job, including loading and unloading, sometimes without assistance. * Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift and load refuse and dispose of trash at designated facilities. * Interact courteously with customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. * Working Conditions and Physical Effort: * Requires extensive physical activity, including heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling objects over 50 pounds. * Work environment involves exposure to physical risks, such as moving mechanical parts, requiring basic safety precautions. * Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including frequent wet and/or humid environments, as well as fumes and vibrations.
