As a Security Officer Patrol in De Soto, KS , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $20.25 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon: 06:45 AM – 03:15 PM Fri: 06:45 AM – 03:15 PM Sat: 06:45 AM – 03:15 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access protocols, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology‑focused location. Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, production areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns. Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations according to site guidelines. Support daily operations by following Allied Universal post orders, maintaining detailed activity logs, and assisting with security‑related requests in a professional manner. Minimum Requirements: At least 1 year of security-related experience. Proof of a high school diploma or GED, as required by the client. Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21 for armed roles. High school diploma or equivalent. Background investigation as required by federal, state, and local laws. Licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws. Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
