Riverside Country Club is seeking a dependable, energetic, and hospitality-focused Athletic Desk Attendant to join our Athletics team. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, takes initiative, and enjoys creating a welcoming experience for our members.
This is an active position and is not a sit-behind-the-desk role. We are looking for someone who enjoys staying busy, taking initiative, and contributing to a high level of member service throughout their entire shift.
Position Responsibilities- Welcome and check members into the fitness center.
- Provide exceptional customer service and create a positive member experience.
- Answer phone calls and assist members with questions, scheduling needs, and booking massage appointments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the fitness center, locker rooms, and athletic spaces.
- Restock towels, toiletries, water, and other locker room amenities.
- Monitor and tidy fitness equipment and common areas throughout the day.
- Assist with opening procedures and ensure all athletic areas are prepared for member use.
- Complete daily cleaning and organizational tasks.
- Proactively identify areas that need attention and take initiative without needing constant direction.
- Support other Athletics Department duties as assigned.
- Friendly, professional, and hospitality-minded personality.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to remain productive and stay busy throughout the shift.
- Dependable, punctual, and trustworthy.
- Comfortable working in a country club environment and interacting with members of all ages.
. Applicants must have flexible availability and be able to consistently work:
- Early morning shifts: 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Evening shifts: 5:00 PM - 10:30 PM (9:30 PM on weekends) or 1:00 PM - 10:30 PM
- Weekday availability throughout the week
- Sunday shifts: 7:00 AM - 2:30 PM
- Weekend availability is required.
