Employment Type Full time Shift Day Shift Description Holy Cross is seeking a Physical Therapist with a clinical interest in Pelvic Rehab/Women's Health to join our team. An interest in Men's Health is also required. This is an excellent career opportunity to join our established Women’s and Men’s Health program at the Holy Cross Healthplex Center. You will work alongside nationally renowned physicians. Purpose A pelvic physical therapist specializes in treating conditions related to the pelvic floor muscles and surrounding areas, using exercises, manual therapy, and other modalities to improve bladder and bowel control, sexual function, and pain management. What You Will Do Evaluation and Assessment: External examination of posture, joint alignment, and strength. Internal examination (if appropriate) of the pelvic floor muscles. Assessment of bladder and bowel habits and medical history to identify potential issues. Gathering information about symptoms and treatment goals. Treatment Techniques: Exercises to strengthen or relax the pelvic floor muscles, improve coordination, and increase flexibility. Manual therapy such as soft tissue mobilization, trigger point release, or visceral manipulation. Biofeedback to help patients visualize and improve muscle contractions. Electrical stimulation to improve muscle function. Education and Lifestyle Modifications: Guidance on posture, breathing techniques, and other lifestyle factors affecting pelvic floor function. Behavior modifications to manage bladder and bowel habits. Job Requirements Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy. Clinical experience treating Women's Health and Pelvic Rehab cases and completion of Pelvic Floor Level 1 & 2 training through the APTA Women’s Health Section or Herman & Wallace. Licensure: Licensed Physical Therapist in the State of Florida. BLS certification from AHA.
