Accounting Manager: Rockton, IL

We are seeking an experienced  Accounting Manager   to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and help drive the financial success of a well-established organization. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment, leading a team, and partnering with leadership to improve financial performance.

Key  Responsibilities:

• Lead daily accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general accounting functions.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff while supporting a collaborative team environment.
• Prepare and review financial statements, journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close activities.
• Monitor cash flow and assist with financial planning and reporting.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.
• Coordinate annual audits and prepare supporting schedules and financial analyses.
• Partner with Human Resources on payroll, employee benefits, and related financial reporting.
• Oversee sales tax filings, 1099s, payroll reporting, and other regulatory requirements.
• Review customer credit requests and monitor credit risk.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes and support business initiatives.

Skills & Experience :

• Education : Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field,  required ; CPA or CMA designation preferred
• Experience : 4+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment,  required . 3+ years of management experience  required .
• Knowledge:  Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles,  required .
• Software:  ERP/accounting software experience,  required . Advanced MS Office and proficiency in MS Excel,  required .

Pay: $80,000 - $100,000/year

Type: Full-time, 1st Shift, On-site

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m – 5:00 p.m.
