Job Summary

We are looking for a friendly, outgoing, and hardworking Barista / Café Team Member to join our team!

In this role, you’ll be part of a fun, fast-paced environment where every day is a little different. You’ll interact with customers, prepare coffee and gelato, serve food to-go, keep the shop clean and organized, and help wherever needed to make sure our guests have a great experience.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with people, has a positive attitude, takes pride in their work, and is willing to pitch in wherever needed . At our shop, we’re a team—everyone helps with whatever needs to be done, whether that means making a latte, serving gelato, preparing a to-go order, cleaning tables, restocking, or helping a teammate.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers with a smile and provide friendly, attentive service
• Take food, beverage, and gelato orders
• Explain menu items and answer customer questions
• Prepare a variety of espresso-based drinks, coffee, and other beverages
• Serve gelato and prepare gelato orders
• Prepare and package food orders for dine-in and to-go
• Enter orders into the POS system accurately and efficiently
• Handle cash and credit card transactions when needed
• Bus tables and keep customer areas clean and welcoming
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, tables, and other areas as needed
• Restock supplies and help maintain an organized shop
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
• Work together with the team to keep operations running smoothly
• Be willing to jump in and help with whatever task is needed to support the team and our guests

Qualifications

• Previous barista experience is required (1-3 years)
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Friendly, positive, and outgoing personality
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to remain calm and professional during busy periods
• Willingness to learn and take on different responsibilities
• Familiarity with food safety guidelines
• ServeSafe or Food Handler’s Certification, or ability to obtain shortly after hiring
• Ability to stand for extended periods
