Bark Barbecue is opening a second 8,700 sq. ft. flagship destination in the heart of North Brooklyn (East Williamsburg/Bushwick) and is seeking hospitality professionals to join our opening team.
This is an opportunity to be part of an industry-leading buildout from the ground up, helping shape the systems, culture, and standards of a high-volume restaurant focused on exceptional barbecue, hospitality, and craftsmanship.
Position: Maître D'
The Maître D' serves as the face of the guest experience, overseeing guest flow, managing reservations and waitlists, coordinating seating, and ensuring smooth front-of-house operations throughout service. This role is responsible for maintaining an organized and welcoming environment while balancing hospitality, efficiency, and operational excellence.
Ideal Candidates
• Previous experience as a Maître D', Lead Host, Host Manager, or similar hospitality leadership role preferred
• Experience in high-volume hospitality environments preferred
• Strong floor presence and confidence interacting with guests
• Comfortable managing reservations, waitlists, guest flow, and busy service periods
• Ability to remain organized, decisive, and hospitable under pressure
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional communication and guest recovery skills
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Experience with reservation and waitlist systems is a plus
