Material Planner

Employee Type Regular - Salary Exempt Job Summary Colson Group is in the process of upgrading its supply chain processes and systems. The Supply Chain Material Planner will primarily be responsible for maintaining, improving, and developing critical supply chain processes. This role will be at the center of executing and providing input for the development of the group supply chain strategy. Essential Job Functions Full ownership of supply chain processes with a focus on Customer Service Agreements. Responsible for ensuring network compliance and process optimization to drive efficiency. Ownership and continuous improvement of existing Supply Chain Planning processes such as SIOP and SKU Optimization, understanding that these processes directly impact On Time Delivery and therefore, Customer satisfaction. Ownership of Supply Chain Data integrity. Work cross‑functionally with peer organizations to identify and prioritize cost‑saving opportunities. Support and lead projects focused on cost savings and upgraded customer experience. Stakeholder management across all levels and departments including the office of the CEO. Responsible for maintaining, developing, and interpreting standard reporting with a key focus on the integration of existing tools and processes. Strong desire to progress in the organization. Performs other related duties and projects as assigned. Knowledge Bachelor’s degree in operations, engineering, supply chain or related field required. Experience Prior supply chain process management and optimization experience preferred. Preferably in a corporate setting but all process management experience considered. Experience managing a wide variety of stakeholders and aligning various groups to a single vision. Experience of working with databases and data visualization tools. Excel proficiency required and Qlik a plus. Experience of working with ERP systems. EPICOR a plus but not required. 3-5 years of full‑time work experience ideal. Skills Ability to influence others not in their direct reporting line to produce results. Results oriented and analytical individual with experience of working with large, incomplete/inconsistent data sets. Able to recognize inconsistencies/oddities in data and act to correct them. Well organized, proactive, independent, team player, keen to progress. Able to prioritize and work to deadlines. Able to clearly communicate and align priorities with others.
