Cashier Classification Non–Exempt Job SummaryThis position will operate a cash drawer by taking orders of customers and handling store receipts and money Essential Functions• Maintain accurate accounts of cash that is in the cash drawer containing a set amount of various denominations of bills and coins• May also process credit and debit card transactions as well as facilitating check payments• Responsible for taking customers orders and payments and giving back any change due to them and giving them a copy of their receipt• Maintaining a copy of the merchants receiptsQualifications• High School Diploma or equivalent required• Previous Cashier experience is preferred• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)• Must be self-motivated• Previous experience handling cashTypical Physical Activity Sitting, stooping, kneeling, reaching, lifting, standing, walking, typing, talking, and hearingTravel Requirements NoneThe Cashier must perform the essential duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation efficiently and accurately, and without causing significant safety threat to self or others.
