Job Description

The PCU/Telemetry Registered Nurse is accountable for providing care to patients in accordance with the Nursing Process, following the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. The role requires critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering safe patient care, while maintaining clinical competencies through ongoing education.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Demonstrate leadership by delegating patient care priorities as appropriate.
• Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel in patient care delivery.
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a progressive care or telemetry nursing role.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Experience in Medical and Progressive Care Unit inpatient settings is preferred.
