Shift: 12hr Nights 12x3 Description: HWL Requisition: Emerson Hospital-AN-0622 *HWL Coversheet required for all submissions* MA License can be pending at time of submission Local is $8 less Travel experience required Nights, 36 hours, 7:00p-7:30a, every other weekend, no call, rotating holidays. Must be NRP certified upon submission and hire.

Job Summary: Reporting to the Director of Cardio/Pulmonary/Neurology/Sleep Disorders, provides a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care services, for in patient and out patients of all ages.

Job Functions:

• Performs respiratory care procedures in accordance with established departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
• Evaluates, treats, and re-assesses patients of all ages, following physicians order.
• Functions independently and also assists Physicians and Nursing in the determination and application of therapeutic modalities.
• Assists in the orientation and training of respiratory and nursing personnel.
• Participates in Code Team and Rapid Response Team.
• Provides patient and family education.
• Participates in CQI initiatives.
• Participates in departmental education activities.
• Transports patients.
• Assists the Director with special projects, equipment and stock inventory control.
• Maintains and supports patients rights to care, privacy and respect.
• Other duties as assigned from time to time.

Education: High school graduate or equivalent required. Graduate of a Respiratory Therapy (RT) program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) required.

Experience: Previous RT experience strongly preferred. Previous patient care experience preferred.
