Job Summary The Guest Service Associate is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly and efficient manner. Responsibilities include parking and retrieving guest vehicles, assisting with luggage, delivering guest information, and handling valet transactions. Responsibilities Maintains pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co‑workers, and clients. (25%) Uses salutation of the day, welcomes guests, practices proper phone etiquette, and posts up in designated areas when not completing tasks. (10%) Parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously, assists guests with bell services and luggage storage, and opens all vehicle and hotel doors. (20%) Assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and other inquiries; provides information about outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, and local attractions; delivers messages, items, and guest amenities as requested; shuttles guests to appropriate places. (10%) Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival; issues claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collects claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys. Completes and maintains all ticket information, including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey, and claim check receipt. Calculates and collects revenue for vehicles when needed. (35%) Qualifications Education: High school diploma or GED. Licensure: Valid driver’s license for the state of employment or within a commutable distance. Experience: One month related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge: Principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. Skills: Read/write standard English; comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; present information in one‑on‑one and small group settings; perform basic arithmetic with money; understand 24‑hour and military time; understand rates applicable to time passed; operate a manual transmission and perform parallel parking (highly desirable). Regularly required to sit or stand for extended periods, run, walk, handle objects, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Lifting up to 100 lbs occasionally, up to 50 lbs frequently, or up to 20 lbs constantly may be required. Travel may be required up to 5%.
