Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Contract | Days (3x12 Hours, 7:00–19:00) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care for labor and delivery patients including vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and multiple births
• Monitor and manage obstetric emergencies including postpartum hemorrhage and pregnancy-induced hypertension
• Care for a patient population spanning neonates/infants and adults within a 16-bed L&D unit and 6-bed triage area
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:1–2 in a team-based unit environment
• Participate in on-call requirements (2 calls per 6 weeks for AM and PM shifts) and holiday coverage per assignment schedule
• Float within the facility as needed within scope of practice

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience; first-time travelers not accepted
• Active RN licensure in Georgia or a Compact state at time of submission
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Experience with Pyxis and SBAR communication framework
• Must meet full compliance requirements prior to start date

Preferred Experience / Skills

• AWHONN Intermediate certification preferred
• Experience with D&C procedures
• Prior travel nursing experience in a Labor and Delivery setting
