. This contract-based, on-site position offers a unique opportunity for an Associate-level physician to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services in a dynamic healthcare environment.

As a Locum Radiologist, you will play a vital role in interpreting diagnostic images, delivering accurate reports, and collaborating with referring physicians to support optimal patient outcomes. Your expertise will directly contribute to the efficiency and quality of care delivered within this established medical practice, ensuring timely and precise diagnoses for a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and report on a wide range of diagnostic imaging studies, including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasounds.
• Communicate findings clearly and promptly to referring physicians and healthcare teams.
• Ensure accuracy and quality of radiological interpretations in accordance with established medical standards.
• Consult with patients and medical staff regarding imaging procedures and results as needed.
• Maintain comprehensive and timely documentation of all interpretations and procedures.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, including radiation safety guidelines and patient confidentiality standards (HIPAA).
• Collaborate with radiologic technologists to optimize imaging quality and protocol selection.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and case discussions to support comprehensive patient care.
• Stay current with advancements in radiology practices, technology, and diagnostic techniques.
• Provide coverage and support during assigned shifts, ensuring continuity of radiology services.

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certification or active board eligibility in Radiology.
• Active and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of Washington.
• At least 2–3 years of radiology experience, consistent with an Associate-level physician.
• Strong proficiency in interpreting diagnostic imaging studies across multiple modalities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with referring clinicians.
• Ability to work independently while functioning as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and radiology information systems (RIS/PACS).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety and quality of care.
• Willingness to work on-site in Tacoma and adhere to the schedule required for this contract position.

Schedule: 3a-7a, 1 week on/2 weeks off

Setting: Remote
