Phlebotomist

Job Summary

Under general supervision, performs routine laboratory activities including patient registration, venipuncture, specimen handling, data entry, and related laboratory support functions.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required
Valid Michigan Driver's License
5+ years of phlebotomy experience
Experience with straight needles
Ability to draw 20-25 tubes in a single sitting

Preferred

Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy training/certification
Basic computer skills

Key Responsibilities

Perform venipuncture and specimen collection
Process and transport specimens to the main laboratory
Complete laboratory documentation and data entry
Support clinic and laboratory operations as needed

Location: Detroit
Start Date: 06/22/2026
End Date: 08/15/2026
Duration: 13 weeks
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM
Hours: 40/week
Holidays: None
Interview: In-person (30 minutes)
