Medical Science Liaison, Hepatology- Atlantic (MD, VA, NC, SC, GA, AL)

This Field Based Medical Science Liaison (MSL) role offers the opportunity to drive external engagement strategy across a therapeutic portfolio and ensure alignment with therapy area strategies through consistent field engagement. This role provides the opportunity to lead key activities to progress your career; responsibilities include stakeholder engagement, scientific exchange, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to advance clinical and scientific objectives. Responsibilities Identify External Experts, professional groups, decision makers and other key stakeholders in the assigned therapy area and geography, in collaboration with medical colleagues and other business partners. Respond compliantly to unsolicited information requests from healthcare professionals regarding licensed or unlicensed GSK medicines and indications; ensure medical information responses are factual, fair, balanced, scientifically rigorous, and compliant with GSK standards, local codes of practice, guidelines and laws. Disseminate important safety information to the healthcare profession as directed by Medical Affairs or R&D; conduct scientific exchange for a medicine that is on-label or consistent with the label, informing and educating HCPs on appropriate use; deliver scientific or pipeline presentations to formulary committees and HCPs upon unsolicited request. Maintain expertise in the evolving scientific/therapeutic area and in competitor medicines and vaccines. Attend and contribute to regional account planning or training sessions as required. Attend national and regional scientific/medical meetings to capture the voice of the customer on data presented about products and disease states of interest to the company. Support clinical development activities and programs including GSK and Investigator Sponsored Studies; collaborate with R&D staff to improve site performance and provide insight into GSK research interests and field inquiries about investigator-sponsored research. Conduct discussions with steering committees, advisory boards, consultants, and other stakeholders on topics related to GSK work, including clinical research investigators and the conduct or publication of GSK-sponsored clinical research. Provide scientific training for GSK sales representatives regarding products and indications; train individual HCPs to speak on behalf of GSK and assist with speaker training events. Partner with matrix colleagues (e.g., sales, marketing, market access) to ensure strategies are patient- and business-focused and add value to external experts. Basic Qualifications PharmD, PhD, DNP, or MD with a medical or clinical focus Two or more years of experience in pharmacology and pharmacotherapy in humans, with practical clinical application Willingness to reside within the specified territory Preferred Qualifications Residency or post-doctoral training in a clinical/pharmaceutical practice setting Pharmaceutical industry or medical liaison experience, with specific therapeutic area experience considered a plus; qualified candidates may be considered for Sr. MSL Clinical experience with direct or indirect patient care, treatment protocol development, drug therapy guideline development, or traditional clinical pharmacy practice Above-average computer literacy and familiarity with software applications Salary information: The US annual base salary for this position ranges from $168,750 to $281,250, with details depending on work location, candidate skills, experience, and market rate. The role offers an annual bonus and eligibility for a share-based long-term incentive program, plus health and other insurance benefits, retirement benefits, paid holidays, vacation, and caregiver/parental and medical leave. Salary ranges for other countries will be discussed during recruitment if not displayed.
