Neonatal Intensive Care Unit RN Opportunity

Norman Regional Health System Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is a 25 bed Level III unit with a Neonatal Ground Transport Team. We focus on family-centered care. We have 5 Neonatologist on staff. We are looking for Healers who can encompass our Norman Regional Health System five care values: Integrity, Communications, Attitude, Results, and Engagement; or as we call, ICARE values. Job Summary

RN essential functions include, but are not limited to:

• collaboration with other health professionals, assessment, analyzing assessment data, establishing goals, planning care strategy, establishing priorities of care, implementing care.
• delegating tasks safely, providing safe direct and indirect nursing care, evaluating responses to interventions.
• performing additional nursing functions in accordance with knowledge and skills acquired beyond basic nursing preparation.
• Supervises nursing care, and in collaboration with the physician, coordinates total patient care for patients by leading and directing an interdisciplinary care teams.
• Cares for infants.

Qualifications

• EDUCATION: Diploma or Associate's degree (ADN) required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
• EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in healthcare field preferred. Previous work history reflecting stable employment. If no work experience, will consider school attendance and performance records. (Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience).
• LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS: Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license. Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment. Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) training preferred. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) training is required within 6 months of hire. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.
• OTHER KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES: Perinatal Continuing Education Program (PCEP) completion every 2 years or as offered. STABLE certification maintained every 2 years or as offered.
