Project Manager

The Construction & Manufacturing Team supports groups across the company and the projects throughout the United States. The Construction & Manufacturing Team is responsible for providing the field management personnel, from the craft worker to the Project Superintendent. The Construction & Manufacturing Team also provides the team member with logistical support; including but not limited to establishing per diem rates, company trucks for superintendents, and the coordination of arrival for team members as needed on the project. The Construction & Manufacturing Team provides continual training for our team members to support their development from entry-level craft workers, via in-house/online courses, to local jurisdiction apprenticeship programs. In this role, as a Senior Project Manager for our Water/Wastewater division, you can capitalize on your leadership and strong communication skills to direct and lead a team, manage large complex projects, and/or multiple projects while overseeing the work of one or more project managers. Job Responsibilities: Partnering with project directors in responding to Request for Proposals including the preparation of conceptual estimates, schedules, and other proposal documents Preparing detailed estimates, cost code input, and cost control systems Working with directors of construction and construction core personnel to establish job organization including superintendents and self-perform craftworker requirements; maintaining submittal control Preparing and securing owner acceptance of contract change orders Managing and ensuring payments to subcontractors and vendors; effectively directing project close-out tasks and any warranty work Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management or equivalent plus 10 years or more of experience in Industrial Water/Wastewater facility construction, design, or management preferred Specific Knowledge, Skills, License, Certifications: Knowledge in the design and construction of Industrial Water/Wastewater facilities Research experience is a plus with excellent communication, organization, and follow-up skills Excellent sales and customer relationship skills Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm Abilities to work independently, manage time wisely and prioritize tasks Requires 50%+ travel Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
