Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description Maintenance Mechanic – Moncure, North Carolina Schedule & Compensation Weekend Crew: 6 AM – 6 PM on 3–4‑day weekends. Starting pay: $32.54 per hour. Responsibilities Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and improve mechanical equipment and components such as pneumatic & hydraulic components, gearboxes, couplings, power‑transmission systems, bearings, lubrication, pumps, valves, piping systems, clutch, brakes and drive components. Address system components including motors, drive‑control components and I/O, basic controls programming, electrical sensors, field devices, network systems and communication. Perform millwright tasks: moving material, equipment and machinery using standard lifting, rigging, hoisting, blocking, skidding and rolling methods. Troubleshoot and repair low‑voltage electrical equipment: replace and wire motors, replace fuses, adjust micro switches, proximity switches, photo‑eyes, etc. Perform preventive, predictive and emergency maintenance on production equipment, material‑handling equipment, safety devices and facility utilities, following standard procedures and PM route sheets. Qualifications High School Diploma / GED or higher. At least 2 years of maintenance experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting. Additional qualifications that could help you succeed: Associate’s degree in an engineering‑related field (Mechatronics, Industrial Electronics, or industrial maintenance). Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings. Location & Employment Onsite – Moncure, North Carolina. Relocation assistance: Not authorized.
