$170k - $200kConsor
What Your Day Will Look Like: As a Senior Water/Wastewater Project Manager, you will lead the planning, design, and delivery of complex municipal and industrial water and wastewater infrastructure projects throughout the Pacific Northwest. You will oversee projects from concept development and regulatory planning through design, construction, commissioning, and closeout, ensuring successful outcomes that align with client objectives, technical requirements, budgets, and schedules. In this leadership role, you will manage and mentor multidisciplinary teams of engineers, planners, technical specialists, and construction professionals while serving as the primary point of contact for clients, utility agencies, regulatory stakeholders, and project partners. You will drive project performance, foster strong client relationships, identify opportunities for business growth, and provide strategic guidance on infrastructure investments that enhance system reliability, resilience, sustainability, and operational efficiency. Projected Compensation: $170,000-$200,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Candidates whose experience, business development track record, or technical expertise significantly exceed the minimum requirements may be considered for compensation above this range. Eligibility for stock equity participation may also be available based on experience and level. What You’ll Do: Lead and manage the full lifecycle of complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects, overseeing project scoping, planning, design, permitting, procurement, construction support, and closeout while ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, budget, quality, and performance objectives. Direct multidisciplinary project teams consisting of engineers, planners, scientists, environmental specialists, and technical staff in the development of studies, master plans, design documents, technical specifications, and engineering reports that meet client expectations, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements. Serve as the senior client relationship manager and trusted advisor, fostering strong partnerships with municipal utilities, public agencies, and private‑sector clients through proactive communication, strategic guidance, and consistent delivery of high‑quality project outcomes. Provide leadership in project governance, quality assurance, and risk management, conducting design reviews, managing technical oversight, identifying project risks, and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure technical excellence, regulatory compliance, and successful project execution. Coordinate and collaborate with subconsultants, contractors, utility stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and permitting authorities to align project objectives, resolve complex technical and operational challenges, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Drive project financial performance and operational efficiency by managing project budgets, forecasting revenue and resource needs, monitoring key performance metrics, negotiating scope changes, and ensuring overall project profitability and client satisfaction. Mentor, develop, and inspire engineering and project delivery teams, providing technical guidance, leadership coaching, and professional development opportunities that support employee growth, succession planning, and organizational excellence. Support business development and strategic growth initiatives by identifying new opportunities, participating in client engagement activities, leading proposal efforts, and contributing to the expansion of water and wastewater infrastructure services across the Seattle region and broader Pacific Northwest. Champion innovation, sustainability, and resilience in infrastructure solutions, helping clients address emerging challenges related to aging systems, regulatory compliance, climate adaptation, water resource management, and long‑term asset planning. Represent the organization in client meetings, industry conferences, public presentations, and stakeholder engagement efforts, strengthening market presence and reinforcing the firm’s reputation as a trusted leader in water and wastewater infrastructure delivery. What You’ll Need: 15+ years of progressive experience delivering water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary teams and complex municipal utility projects. Proven success developing client relationships, winning new work, and contributing to business growth. Strong understanding of project delivery methods, permitting requirements, regulatory compliance, and utility infrastructure planning. Established relationships with municipal utilities and agencies in the Pacific Northwest preferred. Bachelor of Science in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical, or a related engineering discipline. Professional Engineer (PE) license, or ability to obtain Washington PE reciprocity. While performing the duties of this job, physical demands of the employee include frequent sitting, moving, standing, talking, hearing, and occasional balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, and feeling.
